We’re thrilled to announce a Series A financing round led by Intel Capital, along with participation from Rawah Partners. We’re one of just twelve companies, representing a total of $38 million in new investments, unveiled yesterday at the annual Intel Capital Global Summit in San Diego.

This funding comes as we expand commercialization of our core technologies to hardware manufacturers, content creators, and media platforms in markets including: music, movies, gaming, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 360 media.

Core technologies include:

— Industry-leading software tools for spatial/360 audio production
— Proprietary 360 degree microphone arrays for live capture/broadcasting
— Proprietary 360 degree content analysis and transformation
— Motion-tracked 3D audio engine (software or hardware implementations)

This investment will support the acceleration of research and product development, as well as marketing, all aimed at delivering the most lifelike headphone audio possible via consumer tools and embedded solutions.

“With headphones ubiquitous in today’s world, paired with the rise of new immersive media forms like virtual reality, we’re excited by the opportunity to accelerate the deployment of Dysonics’ innovative spatial audio technologies.”

– Ron Friedman, corporate vice president and general manager, Integrated IP and Technology group at Intel

Needless to say, we’re excited 🙂

Dysonics has been pioneering spatial audio research for over 20 years. This investment allows us to intensify technology development across hardware and software products as we continue our mission of redefining the world of headphone audio.
